Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Systems Engineer opportunity in Johnson City, TN.

 

Position Overview:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, integration, and implementation of complex engineering systems across multidisciplinary projects. Working closely with clients, project managers, design engineers, and technical teams, the Systems Engineer ensures that system requirements are clearly defined, integrated, verified, and delivered in accordance with project objectives, technical specifications, and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain system architectures, requirements, and technical specifications.

Translate customer and stakeholder needs into actionable engineering requirements.

Lead system decomposition, allocation of requirements, and traceability management.

Define system performance criteria and ensure compliance throughout project execution.

Support conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases for engineering projects.

Conduct trade studies and technical evaluations to support design decisions.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.

15+ years of engineering experience in engineering consulting, design services and complex industrial environments.

Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Proven ability to manage complex technical requirements and system integration activities,  develop and implement technical solutions, drive cost-saving initiatives, and deliver reliable support to their organization.
